Endocrinology continues to see shifts in fellowship engagement, with less individuals entering the field. As inequitable access to endocrine care remains a critical issue, it is important to identify approaches to bringing more prospective physicians to the field. In this session, Dr. Angela Leung will take a deeper dive into data behind the decline and the importance of early exposure to emerging clinicians. Dr. Giulio Romeo will review the operational and structural factors contributing to inequitable access to care and ways in which current professionals in the field can support a more diverse and inclusive workforce through mentorship and leadership programs.
