Vertebral fragility fractures are a significant source of pain and disability. They are also the initial osteoporosis-defining event for many patients and significantly increase the risk for future vertebral or hip fractures. Therefore, optimal skeletal care for patients who have suffered a vertebral fragility fracture is of utmost importance for patients’ present and future quality of life. This session will review current best practices for identifying, assessing, and managing patients with vertebral fragility fractures.
