Bone Health Optimization in Special Populations: Cancer and Transplant
Angela Cheung, MD, PhD

While much emphasis in clinical practice is focused on optimization of skeletal health in patients with osteoporosis, there has been comparatively less emphasis placed on caring for patients with other conditions that are well documented to increase fracture risk. This session will review current recommendations regarding approaches to optimize bone health in patients treated for cancer or those who have undergone transplantation, both populations at markedly increased risk for bone loss and fracture.
